About Us
Let us introduce ourselves. We are Paolo and Ninfa, a medical doctor/diplomat and a social worker respectively. As a family, we are veterans of more than 30 years of international experience. We speak five languages and enjoy exploring new settings and meeting new people.
A few years ago we had an idea that has now become a reality. That of setting up a residential stone structure, tucked away in the hills on the way to Florence, 20 km from Imola. A place where we welcome you as individuals, families, or as a group to spend unforgettable moments together, with awareness and in contact with nature.
The idea began to take shape in 2017, during a mission in Angola, when we decided to buy a property in an area called Monte Cuccolo in the township of Fontanelice, Province of Bologna, on the road between Imola and Florence. An enchanting place, in the middle of nature, where there was a ruin, an old abandoned house built of stones. From there you can see the entire surrounding valley.
Over the next five years, we undertook renovation works on the house, which has now become a cosy and enjoyable structure. We equipped it with furniture and cooking equipment. We also improved the area around and planted many small trees that are now growing. In just a few years, we have managed to successfully create the conditions to accommodate you, your family and friends and make it possible to share this delightful place for one day or even several days. Now, it is possible to stay overnight and spend very pleasant days in tranquillity and awareness, with a 'slow life' spirit.
You can take walks, discover flowers and plants with us, play boules in the meadow, read beautiful books, meet other people, or simply rest in contact with nature.
Finally, we are at your disposal should it be of interest to you, for guided mindfulness practices, to discover how to live in the present moment and achieve greater awareness of ourselves, our bodies, emotions and 'being', and open ourselves up to discovering others, nature and life that surrounds us.
